Seasonal Crew · Homer, Alaska
We hire crews for two main harvests a year — Pacific cod in winter (Jan–Mar) and wild sockeye in summer (Jun–Aug). Most people come on for a few hard weeks, offloading boats and running the processing line when Cook Inlet is at full tilt. It’s real work in a place most people only ever see in photos. Looking for something year-round instead? See our long-term roles.

Seasonal processing starts at $20/hr, with higher rates for experience and role. Busy runs mean long hours and overtime; weekly hours aren’t guaranteed.
Homer, Alaska at the peak of the run. If you’re a student or just looking to get away and work, there’s nothing else like it.
Dependable hands can move into longer-term and year-round roles.
Pay and specifics are confirmed per role and season when we follow up. Tell us a bit about yourself below and we’ll be in touch.
The Work
When a boat calls in, the whole crew moves — offloading holds of cod, sockeye, or halibut, then straight onto the line to grade, cut, and pack. The days are long and the work is physical. If you show up ready to work, you’ll fit right in.
Who We’re Looking For
No experience needed for many spots — just reliability, a good attitude, and a willingness to work on your feet in cold, wet conditions. Experienced processors and knife hands are especially welcome.
Work authorization: U.S. workers preferred. Canadians need a valid U.S. work visa; dual citizens are all set. Not sure where you stand? Ask us in the form.
